Airgain® proclaims the discharge of 5G and Wi-Fi 6E MULTIMAX® Subsequent Antennas for the fleet automobile market
SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Airgain, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRG), a leader in advanced antenna technologies that enable high-performance wireless networks for a wide range of devices and markets, including consumer, corporate and automotive, today announced the release of its 5G and Wi -Fi 6E MULTIMAX Next 6-in-1 and 5-in-1 antennas for fleet vehicles. MULTIMAX Next offers leading 5G performance and support for next-generation Wi-Fi 6E. MULTIMAX Next is available in a number of configurations including floor level and external whip options. MULTIMAX Next’s 6-in-1 and 5-in-1 antennas support two MIMO LTE and 5G applications (including Band 14, CBRS, LAA and Band 71), 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi, GNSS with multiple constellations and external whip connector for applications like LMR and Tetra, all in a slim and compact package.
With a smaller footprint than competing solutions and a strong, bolted aluminum base, MULTIMAX Next fits securely on the roof of modern service vehicles such as the Ford Explorer and at the same time offers better protection against natural hazards that threaten vehicles such as vibrations, ice and salt, car washes and tree sweeps. In addition, the flat design allows fleet owners to add style to their vehicles without sacrificing performance. MULTIMAX Next includes high gain antennas that, in addition to high rejection GNSS technology, have a larger 5G footprint and cover multiple satellite systems including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou (BDS).
“MULTIMAX Next is reviewing all the check boxes for public safety organizations looking to invest in a 5G antenna designed for the next generation of cellular and Wi-Fi technology,” said Kevin Thill, Airgain’s senior vice president of engineering . “With the integrated option for an external whip antenna, the MULTIMAX Next 6-in-1 and 5-in-1 antennas can support LMR radios in addition to LTE and 5G mobile communications, Wi-Fi and GNSS. Customers and partners can rely on Airgain’s technological superiority and depth of design experience to ensure optimal connectivity for their fleets. With the support of 5G and Wi-Fi 6E, this antenna is future-proof for the next generation of vehicle technology that is soon to hit the market. ”
The MULTIMAX Next 6-in-1 and 5-in-1 antennas are available in either black or white and are available in custom configurations and optional accessories that support applications in North America and the international market.
