Calian acquires Intertronic, an business main supplier of excessive efficiency antenna options
InterTronic antennas maximize the user experience through exceptional alignment, precision and accuracy of the reflector surface
OTTAWA, ON / ACCESSWIRE / January 4, 2021 / Calian® Group Ltd. (TSX: CGY) announced the acquisition of InterTronic Solutions Inc. (InterTronic), Canada’s leading manufacturer of high-performance antenna systems. Bringing together Calian ground satellite systems and InterTronic antenna systems, aerospace, defense and satellite communications customers have a wide range of capabilities to meet their key radio frequency ground system (RF) needs.
InterTronic’s state-of-the-art, high-precision antenna solutions include high-precision, high-speed motion systems used by military, scientific and commercial customers. Applications of InterTronic solutions include radio astronomy, radar, electronic warfare, space and satellite communications.

By combining InterTronic antenna cables with Calian’s composite fiber antenna cable, customers have a compelling range of antenna solutions to meet their most demanding requirements for low earth orbit, medium earth orbit, geostationary orbit, space and radar. Combined with Calian’s flooring design capabilities, Calian can now offer a wider range of innovative end-to-end flooring system solutions.

The final agreement is worth up to CDN 22 million. The amount paid on completion is $ 13.0 million and includes earnouts of up to $ 9.0 million based on achieving a specified EBITDA performance level and contract profits over the next 24 months. InterTronic’s results are consolidated and reported in the Calian Advanced Technologies segment.
