CommScope’s totally digital ERA distributed antenna system now meets TAA necessities
CommScope’s ERA fully digital distributed antenna system (DAS) now complies with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA). In particular, the ERA platform is manufactured in the United States or a TAA compliant country.
With the federal government announcing a renewed focus on giving preference to products made in countries with US trade agreements, CommScope remains committed to making it easier for our customers to purchase key technologies.
ERA makes cellular buildings simple, scalable and more economical. ERA works via a standard IT infrastructure – Category 6A and fiber optics – and offers the highest level of mobile voice and data coverage in a building, campus or base. ERA supports different operators, frequency bands and generations of mobile technologies to provide a complete coverage solution.
“As a leader in distributed antenna systems, CommScope is committed to providing products such as the ERA system that meet TAA requirements,” said Darla Braun, vice president, DAS and Small Cell Sales and Business Development, CommScope. “Our government customers need the flexibility to add coverage, support multiple service providers, assign wireless capacity in a building or campus, and migrate to 5G. ERA is the solution of choice for agencies to improve their current communication skills while leveraging next to expand generation technologies. “
Government office buildings, operational facilities, and military bases increasingly require ubiquitous cellular connectivity with multiple operators in the building. The architecture of ERA ranges from individual buildings to large sites and bases and offers flexibility in the placement of resources for system headends.
With this announcement, ERA is replacing many other CommScope solutions that meet TAA requirements.
