EU Fee adjustments record of harmonized requirements for sure radio units
The European Union (EU) Commission has decided to update its list of harmonized standards for certain types of radio equipment.
Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1562 published in the Official Journal of the European Union at the end of October amends Annexes I, II and III of Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/167. These annexes contain 13 additional harmonized standards that apply to: 1) advanced guidance and control systems for surface movements; 2) primary surveillance radars; 3) radio receiver; 4) international mobile telecommunications equipment; and 5) fixed radio systems.
The implementing decision also highlights the Commission’s intention to withdraw references to several harmonized standards that have either been revised or are considered to be out of date. However, the Commission says it will postpone the withdrawal of such standards to a later date in order to give manufacturers time to take appropriate action.
