(OTC PINK: GTCH) (“GBT” or the “Company”) is evaluating and testing self-tuned antenna technology to enhance its Infinia long range wireless performance. An automatic antenna tuning system a technology that improves the power transmission between the transmitter and the antenna in order to adapt to the ionospheric propagation conditions and ensure optimal communication performance worldwide coverage due to the refraction of electromagnetic waves in the ionosphere, this phenomenon is also known as sky wave propagation.

The optimal frequency for the propagation of sky waves over great distances changes with the time of day and season due to the influence of the sun on the ionosphere. An automatic antenna tuner (also called ATU; antenna tuning unit) is a device that is placed between a transceiver and its antenna to improve power transmission while maintaining optimal communication performance. An auto tuning system provides quick power adjustment with frequency changes to optimize output power, efficiency and with low distortion. Another evaluation direction will be an azimuth-controlled antenna system in conjunction with an ATU, which should enable communication based on the location coordinates. This type of antenna includes a computerized mechanical control for the antenna position according to the geographic location of the device. “Adapting to the propagation conditions of the ionosphere is a demanding task. The behavior of skywaves changes with the time of day, the seasons and weather conditions. Skywaves are electromagnetic waves that travel from the surface of the earth towards the ionosphere and are then reflected back to the surface. The distance between the point at which a radio signal is transmitted and the point at which it is received, broken by the ionosphere, is called the jump zone or quiet zone. No transmissions can be received in this zone. The challenge is to find the Ensure coverage everywhere, including skipping zones. We plan to conduct in-depth research and experimentation with ATU intelligent technology over the next few months, aimed at remote locations and safe, reliable long-range communications.
