PETAH TIKVA, Israel, February 1, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ, TASE: GILT), a global leader in technology, solutions and services for satellite networks, today announced that its subsidiary Wavestream has received an award estimated at $ 50 million from a leading satellite operator to support the gateways for broadband -Satellite constellation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Wavestream was selected to provide Gateway Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) for the project.

Specifically designed for networks with large bandwidth uplinks and high order modulation schemes, Wavestream’s Gateway-class PowerStream 160Ka SSPAs have been selected for their world-class technical performance and unsurpassed reliability in harsh environments to meet the stringent requirements of non- Geostationary Satellite Orbit (NGSO) constellations.
