Hiltron proclaims motorized satellite tv for pc communication receiving antennas
Hiltron Communications has announced two new additions to its range of satellite communications solutions. The satellite communication receiving antennas HMAM-Ka-Rx and Super-HMAM-Ka-Rx enable fast switching between linear and circular polarization.
Antonio Monteverde, Hiltron’s Managing Director, said: “To switch a satellite antenna from circular to linear polarization, the feed system usually has to be changed manually. In this new design we have developed a fully motorized switching unit for the polarization axis which is controlled by the Hiltron ACU. ”
With the new system, the entire process can be completed quickly and without tools. The first working model was completed for a government agency.
Hiltron’s motorized HMAM satellite antenna mounts are designed for bidirectional satellite communication or receive-only downlink applications.
They can be used in a variety of roles including broadcast and telecommunications downlinks. In the standard size, the HMAM series supports reflectors with a diameter of 1.2 to 3.8 meters. The Super HMAM version accepts reflectors up to 4.9 meters in diameter.
An optional motorized feed changer allows the head to be quickly moved to a new position for switching between frequency bands.
HMAM and Super HMAM mounts are supplied with professional drives for azimuth and elevation as well as a high-precision polarization drive.
The combined head and drive form a three-axis motorized mount with more than 270 degrees azimuth adjustment, 90 degree height adjustment range and fully adjustable polarization.
