Kymeta ™ Declares Industrial Availability of its Subsequent Technology Antenna, Terminal and Companies, Bringing Cell World

Redmond, Wash .– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Kymeta (www.kymetacorp.com) – the communications company that makes mobile devices global – announced that the Kymeta ™ u8 and Kymeta Connect ™ will be available for government and commercial purchases after November 30, 2020, unlocking the potential of broadband Satellite connectivity and development is being tapped into cellular networks to meet the overwhelming demand for on-the-go communications.

Kymeta’s next generation solutions are designed for mobility and tailored to the needs of global defense agencies, government agencies, first responders and commercial customers. Kymeta products and services have been used locally for three years and the demand for Kymeta u8 pre-sales has already exceeded expectations. With the introduction of the Kymeta u8, the company has significantly increased antenna throughput and significantly reduced the total cost of ownership. Kymeta’s new products and services represent a breakthrough in terms of performance, ease of use and affordability. They expect these solutions to further improve their position in both the commercial and government markets and further extend their lead over competitive offerings.

“The government and military need the most reliable and seamless connectivity to do their jobs safely,” said Walter Berger, Kymeta President and COO. “Often traveling to the remotest or most disaster-hit areas of the world, these men and women need reliable communications to save lives, protect property, and complete missions. Our government, military and commercial customers rely on Kymeta solutions. The improved performance of the u8 helps our customers achieve fast, easy and reliable business-critical communication on the go. ”

The launch of Kymeta’s next generation solutions builds on the successful deployment of our beta program earlier this year to enable real-world testing. The tests showed throughputs of over 45 Mbit / s in a mobile land environment with large scanning angles of over 50 degrees. This is a remarkable feat for an electronically controlled antenna platform with such a low power (<150 W). The u8 has been tested under various conditions in regions around the world including North America, APAC and Europe to confirm that the product can operate reliably in even the most difficult scenarios.

“My team works in one of the most densely populated, rugged, and steepest forest areas in the United States,” said Tim Dunfee, US Forest Service assistant chief of forest fires. “There are places in our varied terrain that have been engulfed by fires and destroyed communication cell towers, which means that all communication has been lost. When we tested Kymeta’s solutions, we were able to use FaceTime and make voice calls for the first time. We have now installed a Kymeta antenna in one of our vehicles and use it in every forest fire because we know that it communicates reliably everywhere. ”

The Kymeta u8 covers the entire Ku band and is designed so that it can be upgraded with LEO. The u8 is available as an antenna, ODU (without modem) and turnkey terminal with embedded satellite modem, cellular modem and SD-WAN functions. The Kymeta terminals are easy to set up and serviced within minutes of being powered. A portable configuration called the u8 GO will also be available soon, which is ideal for quick deployments. The u8 GO enables safe transport with a hardened protective housing and has an integrated vehicle holder, which enables easy operation during breaks and on the go.

Kymeta Connect combines the u8 with Kymeta’s hybrid satellite cellular connectivity services and transforms the purchase and consumption of mobile data. It offers a complete end-to-end solution with the best customer experience in the industry. The all-inclusive package for hybrid satellite cellular connectivity, global support and network services starts at $ 999 per month.

Kymeta Connect is based on a virtual architecture consisting of an operations stack that connects remote terminals to managed satellite and cellular services, integrates a state-of-the-art digital back office for service and subscription management, and includes an operations and maintenance element, delivering an excellent customer experience. These services are complemented by a unique application called Access, which makes it easy to control, manage and monitor all hardware and connectivity solutions. The newly announced app can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play stores. Today, Kymeta Access can be used on a tablet or through a web-based portal to interact with hardware, data, customer care and subscription services.

Kymeta believes it will continue to accelerate new product development and commercialization of its next generation solutions and looks forward to sharing more products in 2021.
