A post shared on Twitter by Florida Highway Patrol caused a stir on the Internet. They shared three pictures to show the effects of lightning striking a vehicle’s antenna and causing a crack in the road.

“Lightning struck the antenna section of this Nissan on the I75 in Broward County at 30.5 mm! It damaged the car’s electrical system, leaving a 2.7 meter long road groove! Fortunately there were no injuries !! ” reads the caption shared with the video.

Fortunately, the driver of the car identified as Ernesto Delhonte escaped the incident unharmed. “I saw a light and … I don’t know what happened. But I survived. I live. It’s a miracle to me, ”he told WPLG.

“The electrical impulse from the lightning bolt damaged the vehicle’s electrical system and discharged onto the ground directly below the vehicle, creating a four-foot (seven-foot) crevice in the asphalt of the right-hand lane,” said Highway Patrol Lt. Yanko Reyes told WPLG.
