Man dies after falling from aerial

According to police, a 60-year-old man from Chatham-Kent died after falling from a television antenna.

At 1:28 p.m. on Thursday, rescue workers responded to the accident at work on Indian Creek Road West in Chatham.

The man was transported by ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, where he was pronounced deceased, Chatham-Kent police added.

The Ministry of Labor has been contacted and has taken over the investigation.

It is the second fatal fall in Chatham in the past week as the ministry is also investigating the death of a 44-year-old Chatham man who fell from an elevated platform on Center Street Monday afternoon.
