Multiband GNSS antenna enhances the household of helical antennas – Inside GNSS
Maxtena, Inc. introduced a small, patented GNSS antenna for high-precision and autonomous multi-frequency applications. The M9HCT-A-SMA antenna is a high-precision, multi-frequency active helix GNSS antenna + L-band correction services.
The design offers simultaneous GNSS reception on L1: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, L2: GPS L2C, Galileo E5B and GLONASS L3OC and L5: GPS + L-band corrections in a robust, compact and ultra-light form factor. The antenna is suitable for high-precision applications and UAV markets where high performance and light weight are driving factors in antenna selection.
The active helix design of the M9HCT-A-SMA features Maxtena’s patented, compact and lightweight Helicore technology that provides pattern control, polarization purity and high efficiency in a very compact form factor. It is independent of the ground plane and offers low power consumption and minimal phase center variation across the azimuth, designed for high precision applications. The antenna offers an axial relationship which ensures that multipath errors are reduced.
For the embedded version, Maxtena offers support with the installation and integration of the embedded antenna in order to provide optimal antenna performance. Maxtena can embed the antenna in any case and then customize the antenna to match the materials, electronics, and space requirements of the case.
