Reverse polarity SMA assemblies provide extra design choices for antenna purposes
Amphenol RF is expanding its line of pre-configured SMA reverse polarity cable assemblies to support RG-174 and RG-316 cables.
Amphenol (NYSE: APH)
DANBURY, CONNECTICUT, UNITED STATES, Jan. 14, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Amphenol RF is pleased to announce the addition of RP-SMA connector configurations to its line of fixed length cable assemblies. These new cable assemblies feature the popular RG-174 and RG-316 flexible cables and add to the robust offering of the previously released RG-58 options. Straight plug and bulkhead receptacle configurations are available in a range of standard lengths from 6 inches to two meters. They are ideal for a wide variety of test and measurement applications.
These cable assemblies use industry standard high performance RP-SMA connectors made from gold plated brass housings. The plugs have gold-plated socket contacts made of beryllium copper. The sockets have gold-plated external contacts made of brass. Permanent underplating with nickel with a high phosphorus content ensures that the connectors support at least 500 mating cycles.
The RP-SMA assemblies support frequencies up to 6 GHz and offer the same functions and advantages as the conventional SMA connector, including the thread coupling mechanism. All cable assemblies are individually tested to ensure the highest quality standards. Special lengths are available on request.
Amphenol RF is a leading manufacturer of coaxial connectors for applications in radio frequency, microwave and data transmission systems.
